Description	The ribbon drape is of yellow, blue, white and red stripes. The medal is a bronze cross pattée with the coat of arms of the Texas State Guard and the words "Texas State Guard" and "Service" on the obverse. The reverse contains the Coat of Arms of Texas.

The Texas State Guard Service Medal may be awarded to members of the Texas Military Forces.

Use

The Texas State Guard Service Medal, shall be awarded to a person completing three consecutive years of honorable service in the Texas State Guard during which the person has shown fidelity to duty, efficient service, and great loyalty to the state.^[1]
