The Gardens on Spring Creek, (18 acres; 72,843 m²), is a botanical garden located on the Spring Creek corridor in Fort Collins, Colorado. The entrance is at 2145 Centre Avenue in Fort Collins. The gardens are owned by the city of Fort Collins.
History
The idea for the gardens was as early as 1986, but the initial move to development can be traced to 1995 when the city of Fort Collins initiated a horticulture program. The visitor center ground breaking was in 2004. The gardens opened in that year. A 501(c)(3) non-profit group helps to raise funds for the garden projects. Several gardens have been added since the opening. Future gardens are in the fund raising stage.[2]
