The Patterson School was a private, non-profit, co-educational, non-denominational, multi-cultural boarding and day school for grades seven through twelve, and one year of post-secondary study, located in Lenoir, North Carolina.
It was noted for its successful athletic program, particularly in men's basketball. Citing financial concerns,[1] the school closed its doors in 2009,[2] and any hope of reopening seemed lost when the facility was leased to the Caldwell County Schools system in 2012.[3] In the fall of 2013, the school began leasing its facilities to a new Christian post-grad program, Moravian Prep, which is currently under the leadership of Jenny and Jeremy Ellis.[4]
