The Return of Josey Wales is a 1986 film starring and directed by Michael Parks.[2][3]
The film is a sequel to the 1976 Clint Eastwood film The Outlaw Josey Wales, which was based on the Forrest Carter 1973 novel The Rebel Outlaw: Josey Wales[4] The Return of Josey Wales adapted Carter's second Wales novel, The Vengeance Trail of Josey Wales. Eastwood had planned to adapt The Vengeance Trail of Josey Wales himself as his own sequel to the original film, but his project was eventually cancelled.[5]
Plot
Friends of gunfighter Josey Wales are killed in Mexico and Wales travels there to confront a corrupt chief of police and get a good friend out of jail.
