Tobias C. Enverga, Jr. is a Canadian senator representing the province of Ontario.

School Trustee

He served as a school trustee on the Toronto Catholic District School Board until his appointment to the Senate and was the first Filipino-Canadian elected to public office in the city of Toronto.

He was co-chair of the Asian Heritage Month Celebration for the Greater Toronto Area and was previously a director of the Canadian Multicultural Council - Asians in Ontario. He founded the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation and is a former president of the Philippine Independence Day Council. He was awarded the Queen's 60th Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

Enverga was appointed to the Senate of Canada on September 6, 2012, where he sits as a Conservative.

At the time of his appointment, he was a project manager at the Bank of Montreal, where he has worked for more than 30 years.[1]

Personal life

He lives in Toronto and was born in the Philippines. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Letran College in the Philippines, a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and a Computer Studies Certificate from Centennial College.
