Tom Wright (Bishop of East Carolina)
Thomas Henry Wright (October 16, 1904 in Wilmington, North Carolina – April 26, 1997 in Porter's Neck, North Carolina) was fourth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina. Following studies at the University of the South and Virginia Theological Seminary, he was ordained to the diaconate in 1929 and to the priesthood in 1930. He was elected bishop on May 24, 1945 and consecrated on October 5, 1945. He retired in 1973.
