Transaction Network Services (TNS) is a privately held, multinational company that has been delivering industry-leading solutions for the payments, financial and telecommunications industries since 1990. TNS is the preferred supplier of networking, integrated data and voice services to many leading organizations in the global payments and financial communities, as well as a provider of extensive telecommunications network solutions to service providers.

Payments Division
TNS is a level 1 PCI DSS certified service provider with a range of connectivity, gateway and managed payments services enabling merchants to securely process transactions with all major banks, acquirers and processors. TNS are at the cutting edge of new technologies and include encryption and tokenization solutions within their portfolio, and can accommodate new forms of payment, such as mobile wallets, private label and loyalty schemes. TNS continue to invest heavily in our payment centric IP network while at the same time continuing to deliver support for established technologies, such as dial and X.25 communications.
Telecommunication Services Division
TNS’ Telecom Services Division addresses the evolving needs of network operators around the globe. As the industry evolves to next generation IP and wireless technologies, TNS leads the development of solutions to help carriers navigate a host of infrastructure complexities and maximize their network reach through the creation of unique multi-service hub solutions. From small rural operators in the US to the largest multi-national telecommunication providers, TNS’ portfolio of signaling, connectivity, interoperability, identity, routing, and database solutions helps enable the successful and reliable delivery of carrier-grade solutions around the globe, while it’s clearing, settlement and anti-fraud solutions protect a mobile network operator’s subscribers as well as its business. - 1998 - Acquired AT&T's Transaction Access Service (USA)
- 1999 - Offices opened in Australia, France and Japan. Processing services launched in the UK. Listed on the NYSE. Acquired by PSINet[4]
- 2000 - Office Opened in Spain
- 2001 - Management, in conjunction with private equity firm GTCR Golder Rauner LLC, bought back TNS from PSINet[5]
- 2002 - Office opened in Italy
- 2003 - Acquired Openet (Italy)[6] and Transpoll Offline (UK) [7]
