Transportation Committee (Georgia House)
The House Transportation Committee is a 27-member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and 24 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to oversee legislation dealing with Georgia’s Department of Transportation.[1]
Scope and jurisdiction
The House Transportation Committee is responsible for legislation regarding Georgia’s Department of Transportation and its operations. The committee also has jurisdiction over legislation regarding Georgia’s roads and the state's infrastructure.[1]
