Uday Pratap Singh

Uday Pratap Singh Yadav, a Samajwadi Party member, was a Rajya Sabha member representing Uttar Pradesh between 2002 and 2008.[1] He is a renowned educationist and very actively working for the upliftment of society. He has also been a member of Lok Sabha from 1994-2006. Besides being a veteran politician he is also famous for his works done in fields of poetry and responsible for the upliftment of Hindi and Urdu in Uttar pradesh and across the globe.Presently he is the chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthaan. It's a very dignified ministry of the state cabinet (U.P.) Recently he was felicitated with the prestigious Shiromani awards (along with Gopal Das "Neeraj" which are no less than the Noble Prize for poetry. He also has family relations with the party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and son CM Akhilesh Yadav. He used to be the teacher of Mulayam Singh Yadav in earlier days.[2]
Shri Udai Pratap Singh is a National President of All India Yadav Mahasabha which was one the oldest Organisation in India established in 1924.
