Vanessa Tevi Kumares (Simplified Chinese:温妮莎 ; Traditional Chinese:溫妮莎 ; Pinyin : Wēn Ní Shā) (Tamil: வெனெசா தேவி குமரேஸ்) (born 5 December 1991) is a Malaysian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2015. She represented her country at the 64th Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas.

Personal life

Vanessa Tevi is a Malaysian of Indian and Chinese parentage.[1] She is an ex-student of Taylor's University Lakeside campus and graduated in Britain with a degree in Tourism Management. Vanessa is an adrenaline junkie who loves extreme sports, such as sky diving, bungee jumping, hiking and mountain climbing. She is fluent in Malay, English and Mandarin.[2] Vanessa also understands Tamil and Cantonese[3]

Beauty Pageant

Miss Universe Malaysia 2015

Tevi was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2015 on April 18, 2015 beating 16 other hopefuls.[4] She represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.

Tevi has been appointed as Thalassemia Ambassador 2015 for Negeri Sembilan Malaysian Medical Association (MMA).[5] Tevi was also listed in FHM Malaysia’s Most Wanted 2015 in 39th place.[6]

She represented Malaysia at the 64th Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas on December 20, 2015, she failed to place in the semi-finals, but she has gained the positive feedback of many people through her gesture of kindness and the first candidate to embrace the winner of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
