Vassilios Kournetas (Greek: Βασίλειος Κουρνέτας, born 2 August 1976) is a retired Greek volleyball player. He was part of the Greece men's national volleyball team. He competed with the national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.[2] He played in Greece for Olympiacos Piraeus, PAOK,[3] EA Patras, Foinikas Syros V.C. and Filia Ilioupolis as well as in Russia with Lokomotiv Belgorod. He announced his retirement from volleyball courts on 5 May 2016 after having won a back to back Greek Volleyleague Championship with P.A.O.K. V.C..[4] In total he won 9 Greek Championships, 6 Greek Cups, 1 Greek League Cup and 1 CEV Cup. Overall he played more than 270 games with the Greek National Volleyball team.
