Vicki Pepperdine
Vicki Pepperdine is a London-born English actress and comedienne. She co-wrote and starred in the multi-award-winning BBC Four sitcom Getting On with Jo Brand and Joanna Scanlan. For radio, she and Melanie Hudson formed the comedy duo Hudson and Pepperdine; the pair wrote and starred in BBC Radio 4's The Hudson and Pepperdine Show.
Pepperdine's parents both worked in the NHS in south-west London (partly inspiring Getting On). She was in the same class at school as Samantha Bond and has said that Bond shaped her idea of what an actor was like. Having studied history of art at the University of East Anglia, and having worked for Help the Aged and in publishing, at the age of 27 she applied for acting school– East 15 in Essex, because her heroine Alison Steadman had been there.[1]
Pepperdine has also had recurring roles in the BBC Three series "Together", the BBC Four sitcom Up the Women, the BBC's comedy drama Grass, and has appeared in over 50 TV shows including episodes of "Rev", "Still Open All Hours", "New Tricks", "Twenty Twelve", Lovesick, Julia Davis's dark comedy Nighty Night, Jack Dee's Lead Balloon, Steve Coogan's I'm Alan Partridge, "Mid Morning Matters" and Saxondale, and Miranda Hart's Christmas Unwrapped and "Miranda".
Pepperdine plays Harry Hill's housekeeper Mrs Flittersnoop in "The Adventures of Professor Branestawm" on BBC 1.
She was also a regular character Midwife Anna Nikolayevna in both series of "A Young Doctor's Notebook" for Sky Television, alongside Jon Hamm, Daniel Radcliffe and Rosie Cavaliero,
Her theatre work includes the role of Mrs Candour in Deborah Warner's 2011 The School for Scandal at the Barbican Centre.
In 2014, she co-wrote, co-produced and starred in Puppy Love, again with Joanna Scanlan and she is an Executive Producer on HBO's change format series of "Getting On."
