Vikrant Bhargava

Vikrant Bhargava (विक्रान्त भार्गव) is an entrepreneur of Indian origin, based in London and the former Co-founder & Group Marketing Director of online casino operator PartyGaming. Bhargava's experience prior to joining the group included positions as a credit officer at Bank of America, where he was responsible for managing credit exposure and revenue for a portfolio of corporate clients, and a business analyst in the business development division of British Gas. Bhargava is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Technology in electrical engineering from IIT Delhi, where he was a classmate of Anurag Dikshit.

Bhargava joined PartyGaming (formerly iGlobalMedia) as the marketing director in early 2000. In July 2001, he managed the launch of PartyPoker. Bhargava headed the marketing efforts for PartyGaming from its inception. He was the face of Partygaming when it went public in 2005 becoming London Stock Exchange's largest IPO of an internet company, valuing the company at over $8 Billion.

In May 2006, Bhargava announced he would be leaving the company's board of directors at the end of 2006.[1] He also simultaneously stepped down from his executive role in the company. According to eGaming Review, John Shepherd, director of PartyGaming corporate communications, said: "Vikrant's marketing expertise has taken this to a multi-billion pound company." Sue Schneider, president of the River City Group, one of the organizers of the World Poker Congress said "Vikrant Bhargava is a major reason behind the success of PartyGaming. The company's flagship, PartyPoker.com, introduced many of today's online and live players to the enjoyment of Internet poker. Vikrant's innovative marketing campaigns and customer service initiatives have become an industry standard."[2]

After leaving PartyGaming in May 2006, he is now believed to be involved with a number of internet, media, real estate and philanthropic ventures.
