The Vilcabamba thistletail (Asthenes vilcabambae) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is endemic to the Vilcabamba Mountains of Peru.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
