W.Pudupatti is a panchayat town in Virudhunagar district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.Now Mrs.N.Pounthai is the president of Panchayat.She was elected on behalf of ADMK party.
Demographics
As of 2010 India census,[1] W.Pudupatti had a population of 14,846. Males constituted 48% of the population and females 52%. Majority of 40% population are Kshatriya Nayakars (Nayaka kings dynasty) and 55% are SC (Dailt & Devendra kula vellalar,Sakiliar) 5% are others Saliar,Chettiar,Asari etc. W.Pudupatti has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 60%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 72%. Literacy of SC people are 84%(Dailts,Devendra Kula vellalar and Sakiliars). In W.Pudupatti, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
