Washington quarter mintage figures

The Washington quarter began mintage in 1932.

The design remained the same from 1932 to 1998 with slight changes, with the exception of the Bicentennial redesign in 1976, until 1998 when the Statehood Quarter program was enacted. The Statehood Quarter program was followed by six quarters honoring the five American territories and the District of Columbia. In 2010, the America the Beautiful quarter series was enacted. Proof issues 1964 and earlier bear no mint mark. Those minted after all carry an "S" mint mark. Beginning in 1992, the U.S. mint began issuing silver proof sets; The dimes, quarters and half dollars in which are all minted to the 1964 and earlier specifications. Coins minted in Philadelphia before 1980 have no mint mark. Those minted 1980 to present carry a "P" mint mark.
