Wells Fargo History Museum
The Wells Fargo History Museum is a group of museums operated by Wells Fargo in several states that feature exhibits about the company's history. Some of the museums' displays include original stagecoaches, photographs, gold nuggets and mining artifacts, the Pony Express, telegraphs and historic bank artifacts.
The museums are generally located in company-owned buildings:
- Three Wells Fargo Center in Charlotte, North Carolina[1]
- Wells Fargo Center in downtown Los Angeles, California[2]
- Wells Fargo Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Wells Fargo Building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Wells Fargo Plaza in Phoenix, Arizona
- Wells Fargo Center in Portland, Oregon
- Wells Fargo Center in Sacramento, California
- Wells Fargo Corporate Headquarters on Montgomery Street in San Francisco, California[3]
The company also operates the:
- Alaska Heritage Museum in Anchorage, Alaska, which features a large collection of Alaskan Native artifacts, ivory carvings and baskets, fine art by Alaskan artists, and displays about Wells Fargo history in the Alaskan Gold Rush era.[4]
- Wells Fargo History Museum in the Pony Express Terminal in Old Sacramento State Historic Park, which was the company's second office[5]
- Wells Fargo History Museum in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park[6]
