When Jamie Went to London... We Broke Up is the only album released by indie pop band Park Ave. The album title references to one of their band members, Jamie Williams leaving for London to pursue art thus leading to the break-up of the band.
The album was released in 1999 on the now defunct Urinine Records. It was re-released in 2005 on Team Love Records, owned by one of the members of Park Ave., Conor Oberst. Two of the members of Park Ave., Jamie Williams and Neely Jenkins formed Tilly and the Wall, who are also on Team Love. Clark Baechle is now the drummer for The Faint.
The last track of the album, "Lachrymose Obsequious Vehement Elated" features Jamie tap dancing for the first time in a song. She tap dances as a member of the band Tilly and the Wall, and serves as the band's primary percussionist.
All members sing together on track 1. Clark sings track 3, 5 and 7. Conor sings track 8. Neely sings track 6 and 9. Jamie sings track 4. Jen sings track 2.
