William Chester (bishop)

The Rt Rev. William Bennett Chester, DD was a Church of Ireland bishop[1] and author.[2]
Educated at Trinity College, Dublin, he was ordained in 1848. After a curacy in Kilrush he held incumbencies at Killead, Kilkee, Ballymackey, Nenagh and Birr.[3] He was Chancellor then Archdeacon of Killaloe before his elevation to the Episcopate[4][5] in 1884.[6] He died in post[7] on 27 August 1893.[8]
