Williamson Museum

The Williamson Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 1997 to collect, preserve and exhibit items relating to the rich culture and heritage of Williamson County, Texas. The museum is located at 716 S. Austin Ave on the historic square in Georgetown, Texas[1] in the former Farmers State Bank building.

The museum offers numerous free hands-on educational programs to the public through exhibits, tours and outreach including its annual Chisholm Trail Days Event at San Gabriel Park and Pioneer Day at Old Settlers Park. Additionally, the museum offers a variety of monthly programs including Hands on History, the Salon at Wildfire, and participates in First Friday. The museum also offers traveling trunks to schools, field trips, and a living history group "Voices from the Past." Exhibits rotate on a continual basis, including several photograph exhibits which are available for travel.[2]
