YSoft SafeQ is a universal pull printing, document capture and 3d print solution produced by Y Soft Corporation. YSoft SafeQ is a server based system that tracks, routes and restricts print, copy, scan and 3d print jobs via a YSoft SafeQ server.
Features
YSoft SafeQ solution includes some important features:
- Central overview of printing, copying, scanning and 3d print operations, including detailed departmental chargeback.
- Track printing costs and presents them in Excel, Web, PDF, or XML format
- Automated report generation and distribution. Reports provide cost-related information that identifies potential bottlenecks and suggests ways to optimize the print environment
- User awareness of traceability and authentication, reducing employee use of MFDs for private purposes.
- Improve MFD (Multifunctional Device) usage efficiency by means of the follow-me function (also known as roaming print or pull printing)
- Enable allocation of print and copy costs to individual projects. Project accounting provides the mechanism for invoicing costs to the customer’s clients
- Custom rules for influencing printing behavior, with administrator-definable conditions, actions and notifications; actions include reject, redirect, convert to black-and-white and/or duplex, etc.
- Custom scan workflows and scan routing with the possibility to enter document metadata while scanning (optional Scan Management module)
- A distributed architecture with clustering support and centralized administration of the whole system from one web interface (YSoft SafeQ Private Cloud technology) [1]
- Native support for printing from any LPR-compatible system, with native clients for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux
- PayPal support
Software
YSoft SafeQ software was previously (YSoft SafeQ 4 version and older) separated into 3 editions - YSoft SafeQ Instant Edition, YSoft SafeQ Professional Edition, YSoft SafeQ Enterprise Edition. From YSoft SafeQ5 the licensing become modular and the license is obtained per device. The main modules are:
- Authentication – User access to printers is secured. User has to authenticates at a YSoft SafeQ terminal (via PIN, card, username and password or combination) to unlock MFD for further use.
- Chargeback – Allows users to be charged for any operation they perform on the MFD (print, copy, scan ) based on the applied price list. Also allows the use of multilevel billing codes.
- Scan Management – User can use a predefined scanning workflows (such as scan to email/scan to folder/scan to script) and scan a document.
- Reporting – Administrator and other authorized users can access comprehensive standard and management reports for the entire print environment. Administrator can set up automatic reports and define custom reports.
- Print Roaming - User can print a job and release it at any printer in the YSoft SafeQ network. User can cancel, reprint, or mark print jobs as favorite. Shared queues feature enable users to collect each other's print jobs.
- Mobile Print - User can send a print job from his/her mobile device via email or upload it via Mobile Print web interface and release it and, in combination with Print Roaming, release it on any printer in the YSoft SafeQ network.
- Rule Based Print – Predefined rules can be automatically applied to users’ jobs when they are printed (for example: automatic conversion of print jobs to duplex or to B/W).
Hardware and Appliances
YSoft SafeQ hardware are developed and manufactured in Y Soft headquarters in Brno and Prague, Czech Republic. YSoft SafeQ hardware are separated into 4 sections - terminals, card readers, re-charging stations and appliance:
