Yana Toom (also Jana Tsernogorova, Jana Tšernogorova, Jana Litvinova, Iana Tchernogorova, Яна Игоревна Черногорова, Яна Литвинова),[1] is an Estonian politician, who, since July 2014 has served as a Member of the European Parliament, representing Estonia for the Estonian Centre Party.[2]
In the 2015 Estonian elections, Toom finished third with 11,573 votes; however, she eventually decided to keep her seat in the European Parliament.[3]
A member of the ALDE (Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) political faction, she currently serves as her parliamentary group’s coordinator on the Committee on Culture and Education.
