Świeszyno [ɕfjɛˈʂɨnɔ] (German Schwessin) is a village in Koszalin County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Świeszyno.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south of Koszalin and 131 km (81 mi) north-east of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
The village has a population of 497.
