Carassai is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) south of Ancona and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Ascoli Piceno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,263 and an area of 22.3 square kilometres (8.6 sq mi).[1]
