E (S-train)
E is a service on the S-train network in Copenhagen. It runs between Køge and Hillerød, serving the outer ends of the Køge radial and the Hillerød radial. On the inner parts of those radials (where services A and B it runs mostly non-stop, but serves all stations on the central part between Ny Ellebjerg and Hellerup.[1][2]
Trains run every 20 minutes from about 5:00 to 1:00 every day. On Monday to Saturday from about 6:00 to 19:00 trains run every 10 minutes.[1] On Friday and Saturday nights there is also a 30 minutes service throughout the night.

History
Service E is the continuation of the "fast" steam trains that ran between Copenhagen and Hillerød since the late 19th century. They acquired a service letter when they were replaced by S-trains in 1986. Later the main characteristic of service E came to be serving the outer end of the Køge radial.
