Eagle Point is an unincorporated community located within West Deptford Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.[2]
Situated on the Delaware River, Eagle Point has been the location of the former Eagle Point Refinery, which began operations in 1949 and closed in 2009, then was eventually demolished from 2011 to 2014. It was owned by various fuel companies, including Texaco, Coastal, and the most recent, Sunoco.[3][4] The refinery featured a gas tower that burned day and night all through the 1950s and 1960s.
