Góry [ˈɡurɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Cieszków, within Milicz County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Cieszków, 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-east of Milicz, and 57 kilometres (35 mi) north-east of the regional capital Wrocław.
Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration by the Potsdam Agreement under territorial changes demanded by the Soviet Union. Most Germans fled or were expelled and were replaced with Poles expelled from the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union.
