The Ghanashyama Hemalata Institute of Technology and Management (GHITM) is a private institute located in outside the city of Puri, in the Indian state of Odisha. GHITM has one school and one college, containing a total of four academic departments. GHITM is affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). The Institute is located on National Highway 203, popularly known as Marine Drive, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Puri. The campus is spread over approximately 152 acres (62 ha) of land on the eastern shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education in New Delhi.

History
Sj. Ghanashyam Jena is the chairman of the college who worked in the field of the Trade Union movement in India. Sj Jena is the founder of All India Food Corporation of India Workers Union, founding president of Paradip Port and Dock Majdoor Union, the All India Food and Allied Workers Union and the All India Petroleum Products Handling and Carrier Employees Union. He is also the Founder Chairman of FCI Workers Co-op. Credit Society Ltd. and the Ghanashyam Hemalata Vidyamandira Society (GHVS).
Hostel
Most of the students of the Institute have been lodged in hostels in the campus, and are separated by gender. These hostels are equipped with modern amenities and facilities for sports and recreation such as television, indoor games, and a gymnasium. Facilities for outdoor games like volleyball, cricket and football are available.
A round-the-clock canteen is in operation to cater to the needs of the students. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are available in the hostels. Each hostel has a warden to look after the welfare of the students. The overall administration of the hostels is looked after by the Hostel Management Committee. The GHITM Guest House provides accommodation to Institute guests, visiting faculty and guardians of students.
Health care
Medical facilities are provided to the staff and students of the Institute through the health clinic inside the campus.
