Grosotto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northeast of Milan and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Sondrio, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,650 and an area of 53.0 square kilometres (20.5 sq mi).[1]
Grosotto borders the following municipalities: Brusio (Switzerland), Grosio, Mazzo di Valtellina, Monno, Poschiavo (Switzerland), Vervio.
