Island Lake is a summer village in Alberta, Canada. It is located on the western shore of Island Lake, along Highway 2, northwest of Athabasca.
Demographics
In the 2011 Census, the Summer Village of Island Lake had a population of 243 living in 104 of its 248 total dwellings, a -30.8% change from its 2006 population of 351. With a land area of 1.45 km2 (0.56 sq mi), it had a population density of 167.6/km2 (434.0/sq mi) in 2011.[1]
In 2006, Island Lake had a population of 351 living in 273 dwellings, a 76.4% increase from 2001. The summer village has a land area of 1.45 km2 (0.56 sq mi) and a population density of 242.4/km2 (628/sq mi).[2]
