Coordinates: 11°47′52″N 75°35′53″E / 11.79778°N 75.59806°E Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chendayad is a school in Kannur District in the state of Kerala, India. It comes under the Hyderabad Region of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti(NVS).
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are Indian schools for talented children. They form a part of the system of gifted education. The objectives of the scheme were to provide good quality modern education to the talented children predominantly from the rural areas, without regard to their family's socio-economic condition.
The vidyalaya is about 4 km east of Pathippalam, Near Chendayad village in Thallassery Taluk, It is located on a hillock called Bhagavad padapuri, North of chendayad, West of Cheruvancherry village and East of Valliyayi Desam. The entire area is made up of latarrite rock. No major vegetation found except few cashew. The approach road is only from valliyayi Desam about 2 km down the hill.[1]
