'Weekly Jirga Bannu' (Urdu: ہفت روزہ جرگہ بنوں) was a weekly newspaper published from Bannu district. Its publication continued for two years and then it was discontinued because of financial issues.[1][2][3]

Editor

Pakistani columnist Farman Nawaz,[4][5][6][7] was the editor of Jirga Bannu.[8][9][10] Farman Nawaz is the editor of the Border Times. Nawaz has written English articles for Global Times China,[11][12] Daily Outlook Afghanistan[13] and several leading English newspapers of Pakistan.[14][15][16][17][18] He had also worked as a blogger for Express News TV Network website.[19] Nawaz also runs a local bilingual online newspaper The Bannu Times.
