Notes
- ↑ The $100 million opening for Transformers: Age of Extinction is disputed within the industry. According to Rentrak—which collected 97 percent of the grosses—the total for the three-day opening weekend is $97.76 million. For Transformers to have crossed the $100 million threshold, the remaining 3 percent of grosses collected by Paramount Pictures would have needed to be three times the national average. Some media outlets have elected to go with the Rentrak figure.[1]
