Longridge Head

Longridge Head (67°28′S 67°40′W / 67.467°S 67.667°W / -67.467; -67.667Coordinates: 67°28′S 67°40′W / 67.467°S 67.667°W / -67.467; -67.667) is a headland at the north side of Whistling Bay on Arrowsmith Peninsula, Antarctica, marking the south end of a small coastal ridge which extends 3 nautical miles (6 km) northward along the west coast of Graham Land. It was first sighted by members of the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition under Jean-Baptiste Charcot who roughly charted this area in 1909. The name is descriptive and was applied by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey who surveyed the headland in 1948.^[1]
