The Mexican spider monkey (Ateles geoffroyi vellerosus), is a subspecies of Geoffroy's spider monkey, a type of New World monkey,[1] from Mexico and Central America, native to Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador.[2][3]
