Pobalscoil Neasáin, "PSN", or "Nessan's" as it is referred to by its students and alumni, is an English-medium community school situated between Baldoyle and Bayside, Dublin, in Ireland founded in 1980.
Sports
The Under-18 Football Team has achieved success on numerous occasions, most recently winning the Dublin Metropolitan Cup.
The Under-19 Girls Basketball team has won the Dublin Divisional Girls Basketball Final.
The Under-14 Boys Rugby team won the Rugby final in 2007, their first championship after having formed only the previous year.
In 2011 the 2nd year basketball team won their championship, the under 14-boys hurling team also won their championship, the under-18 boys Gaelic team also won their championship.
In 2015 the 3rd year Corfball team won the international championship, the team leaders, Adam Corr, david farrelly and Dara O' Clerigh, lead the team to victory with a massive play in the last 10 minutes of the game.
In 2016 the 2nd year basketball team won their championship by 2 points, due to a spectacular score of a backwards one handed shot done by the other team.
Other achievements
Debating
The school excelled in debating in 2008, winning the All Ireland Secondary Schools Debating competition, the Jordan Lyons Memorial Secondary Schools Debating Competition, the Cork Mace and the Wesley Mace. The school has also had success in the Gael Linn Irish Debating competition over the past ten years or so. Many of the debating teams reached the regional and all Ireland finals.
Public Speaking
Pobalscoil Neasáin has also won many trophies and titles in public speaking thanks to the dedicated coach and students on the Debating and Public speaking group (D&PS group.) PSN won the 2011 'North Dublin Rotary Club Transition year public speaking competition' for a fact this was the first year of the championship of this competition and through the brilliance of the speakers they stole the hearts of the judges by the motion of "The importance of charity in society". The school has won this competition a further two times.By the amassing speak from Jordan Lyons
Esat BT Young Scientist
Jordan Lyons received a green ribbon for their project on the effects of the compulsory PE time period on the average student.
International links
Pobalscoil Neasáin is linked to many schools in Europe, including schools in Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Italy and Latvia. Students have participated in the TeenNet Project, travelling to Spain, Latvia and France. The school has taken part in an international forum in Europe, with students travelling to Gladenbach, Germany to take part in international conferences. Combining this with the participation of students in the Model European Parliament at St. Andrew's College, Booterstown, an event which has only recently become an annual occurrence.
