Sam Hallas (born 18 October 1996) is a professional Rugby League player for Leeds Rhinos. He is the cousin of Graeme Hallas, who played professionally for seven clubs before spells as Leeds assistant-coach and team boss at Hunslet Hawks.
Career
Hallas signed for Leeds Rhinos Under 15s from amateur club Stanningley ARLFC. He made his first team debut during the 2016 Super League season at the Magic Weekend vs Wigan Warriors.
Hallas trained as a prop before making the switch to hooker shortly before his debut.[3]
As well as captaining England at Academy level,[4] Hallas is the current captain of Leeds Rhinos Under 19s.
Hallas played in the same Stanningley ARLFC team as Leeds Rhinos team mates Jordan Lilley and Ashton Golding.
