Sam Yates
Sam Yates is an award-winning[1] British director.[2]
Yates was born in Stockport and attended Poynton High School.[2] He was selected as one of Screen International's Stars of Tomorrow in 2016,[3] named a rising star in The Observer in 2014,[2] and featured in GQ Magazine's "Men of the next 25 years" in 2013.[4] Yates has been described as "a major talent"[5] in The Guardian newspaper and "a director of unusual flair"[6] in The Observer. He went to Cambridge University.[2]
Yates has directed two music videos for Ivor Novello Award-nominated band Bear's Den, Auld Wives[7] and Emeralds.[8]
