Ulvella is a genus of either endophytic microalgae in Ulvophyceae class, or fungi in the Ascomycota phylum. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the fungal class is unknown (incertae sedis), and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any class, order, or family.[1] As a fungus, this is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Ulvella chlorospila. Accepted algal species of Ulvella include Ulvella leptochaete[2]
