Athletics
Villa Walsh Academy participates in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, following a reorganization of sports leagues in Northern New Jersey by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).[7] Before the NJSIAA's 2010 realignment, the school had competed in the Northern Hills Conference an athletic conference made up of private and public high schools located in Essex, Morris and Passaic counties.[8]
Villa Walsh's most notable athletic teams are cross country and tennis. The tennis team has won multiple tournaments. The cross country team won Conferences in 2006. Additionally, the soccer team has proved itself as a strong parochial soccer team. It has reached the state tournament in two consecutive years. The track team has won the conference, as has the basketball team. Despite playing in arguably one of the most difficult softball conferences in the state, the softball team has held its own playing competitive games with powerhouses such as James Caldwell High School and Pequannock Township High School.
