Aspen Woods is a residential neighbourhood in the south-west quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, consisting mostly of acreages and single-family detached homes.

Aspen Woods was established as a neighbourhood in 2001, on land annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.[1]

Demographics

In the City of Calgary's 2012 municipal census, Aspen Woods had a population of 5,271 living in 2,281 dwellings, a 17.9% increase from its 2011 population of 4,469.[3] With a land area of 3.8 km2 (1.5 sq mi), it had a population density of 1,387/km2 (3,590/sq mi) in 2012.[4][3]

Residents in this community had a median household income of $89,939 in 2000, and there were no low income residents living in the neighbourhood.[5] As of 2000, 11.5% of the residents were immigrants. 12.5% of the housing was used for renting.[2]
