Nova Štifta (pronounced [ˈnɔːʋa ˈʃtiːfta]; German: Neustift[2]) is a small settlement in the Municipality of Sodražica in southern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.[3]

It is best known for its pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. It is an octagonal Baroque church with an exterior arcade. It was built between 1641 and 1671.[4]
