While filming the task, an ultralight crashed after encountering dust devils, killing both occupants. Ian Cook, the pilot, was flying with Sydney-based Vietnamese cameraman Quoc Huong Vu, who was taking aerial shots of the location.[1] This occurred during the middle of a Roadblock, which some of the contestants had already completed. Due to the incident, the Roadblock was cancelled.[2] Contestants continued to Wymah to continue with the leg. The task in Yarrawonga was not acknowledged during the episode.

- A red team placement means the team was eliminated.
- A green ƒ indicates that the team won a Fast Forward.
- A purple ε indicates that the team decided to use the Express Pass on that Leg. If placed next to a leg number, this indicates that the team did not use the Express Pass and was required to return it to the host on that leg.
- A blue team's placement indicates that the team came in last on a non-elimination leg.
- An underlined blue placement indicates that the team was Marked for Elimination and had to come in first on the next leg, otherwise they would be served a 30-minute (Leg 1) or 45-minute (Legs 3 & 7) penalty.
- An italicized blue placement indicates that the team would not receive any money at the start of the next leg of the race.
- A bold blue placement indicates that the team would have to perform a Speed Bump on the next leg.
- A brown ⊃ means the team chose to use a U-Turn; ⊂ indicates the team who received it.
- Tiến Đạt & Thúc Lĩnh Lincoln and Pha Lê & Hà Việt Dũng initially arrived in 1st and 3rd, respectively. However, both teams incurred a 15-minute penalty because Thúc Lĩnh Lincoln and Hà Việt Dũng took the clue out of their mouth during the first task. Tiến Đạt & Thúc Lĩnh Lincoln's position was not affected, while Pha Lê & Hà Việt Dũng fell to 4th.
- Thanh Hoa could not complete the Roadblock, and Mimi did not attempt it. Both teams received a 2 hour penalty before receiving their next clue.
- Song Ngư & Trúc Như initially arrived in 6th. However, they received a 30-minute penalty for being "Marked for Elimination" and not arriving in 1st. They dropped to 9th.
- Đăng Hoàng & Thùy Anh initially arrived in 7th, but received a 30-minute penalty for spilling too much water during the last challenge. They fell to last place and were eliminated.
- Many teams received penalties upon arriving at the Pit Stop on the 4th leg, based on how many congee dishes they failed to cook properly in an earlier task. Listed is the original arrival of teams and the penalty they received (non-bold teams did not receive a penalty): Pha Lê & Hà Việt Dũng: 1st (20 minutes); Trần Hiền & Minh Long: 2nd (30 minutes); Tiến Đạt & Thúc Lĩnh Lincoln: 3rd (10 minutes); Anh Tuấn & Thanh Hoa: 4th; Nhan Phúc Vinh & Thuỳ Dung: 5th; Hương Giang & Criss Lai: 6th; Sơn Ngọc Minh & Mâu Thanh Thủy: 7th (50 minutes); Richie & Mimi: 8th (10 minutes); Song Ngư & Trúc Như': 9th (20 minutes)
- Hương Giang & Criss Lai initially arrived in 1st, but received a 30-minute penalty because Hương Giang did not wear the provided chef's hat during the fast food challenge. This did not affect their placement.
- All teams except for Tiến Đạt & Thúc Lĩnh Lincoln received a time penalty at the Pit Stop for failing to eat their bowl of Phở within the time limit. Hương Giang & Criss Lai received a 15-minute penalty for only eating 3 kg, while the others received a 1-hour penalty for only eating 2 kg. Nhan Phúc Vinh & Thuỳ Dung dropped from 2nd to 3rd, but no other team placement was affected.
- Pha Lê & Hà Việt Dũng and Anh Tuấn & Thanh Hoa initially arrived in 2nd and 5th, respectively. However, they both received a 15-minute penalty for taking motorized transportation when they were meant to travel by bicycle.
